This engaging 2-hour HD film walks the paths of Hamilton’s life, from the Caribbean islands where he was born, to Yorktown and Wall Street where he fought and worked, to Harlem, where he lived and died. We hear a Treasury Secretary, a Supreme Court Justice, publishers, warriors, pornographers, lawyers, calypso singers and urban gang members talk about money, rights, news, battle, sex and honor—all the themes that shaped Hamilton’s life, helped him make modern capitalist America, and led to his death in the most famous duel in American history.

Ever since unusually ancient and deadly spear points were found near Clovis, New Mexico in the 1930s, many archeologists have believed that this type of weapon originated with the first settlers of the New World, who supposedly migrated from Asia at the end of the last ice age. In “America’s Stone Age Explorers,” NOVA reports new evidence that challenges this widely held view.
The hunt for clues takes NOVA to sites of stunning discoveries in western Pennsylvania and southern Chile; to southern France, where Stone Age artifacts have been found that resemble the famous Clovis points; to the high arctic to learn the techniques that may have been used to cross the ice-encrusted Atlantic 17,000 years before Columbus; and to a remarkable find in central Texas that may hold the key to who invented the Clovis technology.

This film aired on PBS, and also runs in abbreviated form at the Supreme Court visitors center every hour. The original score was recorded in Bratislava, Slovakia, using the Radio Slovak Orchestra.
Supreme Court Justice Kennedy liked the score so much, that he asked for his own CD of the music.

What does it take to make a feature film about a young leopard growing up in Serengeti bush? Director Holly Stadtler spent six weeks following renowned wildlife cinematographer Hugo van Lawick and his crew to present this fascinating behind-the-scenes portrait. THE MAKING OF THE LEOPARD SON captures the dedicated crew’s efforts to film wildlife from a glider, to record sound from a hot air balloon, and to film leopard behavior from a custom built Landrover.
