There can be little doubt that Booker T. Washington is deserving of his reputation as an innovative leader. Rising from a life of slavery to a position of power and influence is an incredible story.

I was honored to be asked to score this film, primarily because of the importance of this man and the role he had in shaping history. Even though the score sounds as if it was recorded using a small orchestra, music was recorded using only two musicians (recorded many times to emulate a larger ensemble).
