Project Description
“Egypt: Revolution Interrupted” – Independent Film
It was clearly a revolution: millions of protesters; tanks, helicopters, tear gas, and water cannons. It surprised even the experts, who didn’t expect that ordinary people could defeat Egypt’s president of 30 years. But the media got it wrong. Egypt’s revolution started ten years earlier, and it was anything but spontaneous. This incredible film documents the ongoing – and surprising – turns of events in this country.
The score was a real joy for me to compose and produce, because it gave me a chance to work with five incredible Egyptian musicians from the band “Saltanah”.
