Project Description

Albert Schweitzer: Called To Africa – PBS
The film tells the compelling story of a theologian, musician and philosopher who abandoned a life of fame and comfort in Europe at the age of 30 to dedicate his life to the medical care of Africans. Ultimately he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace and became one of the most celebrated figures of the 20th century. The price Schweitzer and his family paid was enormous.
