Ok, I’ll admit it. Composing “classical” music may not be my strongest suit. But when producer Leo Eaton called me asking if I’d compose a semi-classical score for a new film about John Marshall for Amazon Prime, I jumped at the chance. Marshall turns out to have been a fascinating character in US History, full of paradoxes and mysteries, and a man whose story is incredibly appropriate for today’s political climate.
The emotional dynamics of this film gave me a chance to compose “semi-classical” music (as well as other styles) in a number of different moods. Listen to samples from the score here.
